About: Justin’s Drum Studio

My name is Justin, I’m a local drummer and instructor in Greenville, SC.

From an early age, I have always loved the drums, and I began taking private lessons at age 13 at the old Draisen Edwards music store. I am very thankful that I had a great instructor who was patient with me, taught me how to read music, and made learning fun. Things eventually came full circle, and I was able to teach students at that same store before the business was sold.

I started teaching to give back the opportunity to learn drums that was given to me years ago, but just off an on, or here or there. This year I decided to start Justin’s Drum Studio to give people the opportunity to learn drums like I had that have always wanted to learn.

Music has been a lifelong passion for me. I got started playing drums in church at a young age, then started playing at Vintage Blues on open mic night. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of recording in studios from Memphis to Greenville, and performing with churches and bands across the Upstate.
